Z650F2 -81

Here is some pictures of my commuter bike, a reliable and practical classic.

The Z650 was introduced in 1976. Kawasaki's aim was to create a bike that was fast as a 750  but with handling as a 500. They succeeded and the bike was very well received by the press and the customers.

Kawasaki made an effort to modernise the bike in 1981. The black engine and the new stripes made the bike look bigger and the tank more square (according to the trend in the 80´s). They also added the air assisted front end from the 750 and a new electronic ignition. The kick-starter was discontinued.

The colours that year Luminous Ruby Red, Candy Light Green, Luminous Navy Blue
